    Site Description
    This site was built in 1900 and served as a Fashion Livery, and was converted to the American Legion site in the 1940’s when the local Legion relocated from the March Airforce Base area. Just last year, as part of the City’s beautification project, murals were added to exhibit an artistic exploration of the City’s history.

    Site Description
    The Perris Theatre is one of the Downtown landmarks in the City of Perris, and is undergoing a full renovation while maintaining its art deco cinema design, circa 1930. Already having a few substantial film credits to its name, the Theatre is a dynamic site, a modern fixture with an historic design, and has served not only in the traditional sense but also as a community center, the location for a Gala celebration, and even as the host site of a fashion show.

    The Catholic Church purchased the original St. James site from the German Methodist Church in 1907, which was torn down when the current site was built in 1958. St. James remains an active spot on the South side of the City.

    Site Description
    Built in 1892, the red brick depot was designed by noted railway architect Benjamin Franklin Levet. A classic example of High Victorian style, the Perris Depot was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1994. It is one of only a few Queen Anne style structures that remains largely unaltered.

    Currently, the depot houses the Perris Valley Historical Museum. It's collection includes artifacts belonging to Fred T. Perris, California Southern Railroad Chief Engineer and Superintendent of construction in the 1880s, who laid out and gave his name to the city of Perris.

    Site Description
    The Southern Hotel was built in 1886, restored in 1990, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. It remains one of the last significant 19th Century buildings in the City.

    The two-story Victorian-era hotel is rectangular and made of wood. It has a square façade and Italianate features common to western buildings of that era.

    The Reserve contains coastal-desert transitional grassland, willow riparian thickets, and granite rock outcrops, and is home to 192 vascular plant, 3 amphibian, 22 reptile, 150 bird, and 23 mammal species.
