The music of legendary Latin Rhythm and Blues Band Tierra highlights the musical entertainment Saturday, June 10, at the annual Rods & Rails Festival in the City of Perris.

Tierra will perform twice on the main stage at Rods & Rails, which takes place at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South A Street. The band will perform at 11:45 a.m. and again at 2:15 p.m.

Tierra, whose members are from Los Angeles, first established in the 1970s. The band has the distinction of being the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart with two of them in the Top 100 at the same time.

Their biggest hit was the 1980 remake of The Intruders' 1967 hit "Together", written by Gamble & Huff, which reached number18 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number 9 on the US Billboard R&B chart.
