Thomas Rodriguez Sworn in as the City of Perris’ New Postmaster

Thomas Rodriguez takes the oath of office and is sworn in as the new Perris Postmaster by Postal Service District Manager Jim Olson.

Thomas Rodriguez was sworn in Friday as the City of Perris’ new Postmaster. Rodriguez, who has 29 years of service with the Postal Service, took the oath of office from District Manager Jim Olson before an audience that included Perris City Councilwoman Tonya Burke, Assistant City Manager Clara Miramontes and Public Works Director Daryl Hartwill. The Perris Post Office employs 75 people and processes about 150,000 pieces of mail each day. In remarks made after his installation, Rodriguez thanked his wife, Elizabeth and children, Tiffany, Ashley and Thomas. Burke said postal employees, municipal workers and elected representatives share similar qualities: “We serve; they serve. We walk the community; they walk the community. We deliver; they deliver.”
