Say goodbye to Sizzling in Perris.
Say hello to Chilling in Perris.
The City’s successful social media campaign to highlight events and activities in Perris during the hot summer months ends Aug. 31. Sizzling in Perris featured flying in the wind-tunnel at Perris Indoor Skydiving, July 4 at Perris Auto Speedway, swimming lessons at Perris High School, Movies in the Park and other hot-weather activities in the City.
Reporter Karina Espinoza, videographer Everett Hambly and Chief Information Officer Arturo Cervantes teamed up to produce nine short informative and whimsical videos that generated nearly 20,000 views.
Chilling in Perris highlights autumn-oriented activities like the Veterans’ Day and Christmas parades, Breakfast with Santa, Perris Got Talent competition, Harvest Festival and hikes to popular recreation spots. Look for Chilling in Perris videos on the City’s website and social medial platforms beginning in October.
Cervantes said the City was pleased with resident-response to the Sizzling in Perris outreach.
“We expected a great deal of interest in our #sizzlinginperris program and we were not disappointed,” Cervantes said. “We’re looking forward to producing more informative and entertaining videos as we gear up for Chilling in Perris. Stay tuned.”
Espinoza once again will be the face-on-camera for Chilling in Perris as well as another new initiative “Next with Karina.” Those spots will be lived-streamed from our YouTube Channel, City of Perris Instagram, and Perris Today Facebook.
Espinoza also will accompany municipal employers from various departments as they complete daily duties.
“It’s going to give Perris residents a behind-the-scenes look at the jobs and tasks City employees perform on a daily basis,” said Espinoza, who is attending Cal State Long Beach while working for Perris. “It will be interesting an informative!”
