PERRIS, Calif. (May 15, 2019) –– The City of Perris and Live Well Perris will host the sixth annual Senior Prom, “A Night in Paris,” on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Bob Glass Gymnasium.
Picture a night under the Eiffel Tower. Walk hand in hand on the banks of the Sienne. Take a stroll under the Arc de Triomphe. This will be a night to remember. This will be a “Night in Paris.
This elegant French-themed affair will begin at 5 p.m., with doors opening for registration at 4 p.m. The event concludes at 9 p.m. with the crowning of the Senior Prom King and Queen.
Dinner will be from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and the dance will be from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Musical entertainment will be provided by “Doc Rock It”. Tickets are already on sale at a cost of $5 for residents and $10 for non- residents.
“This is a wonderful experience to present for our seniors. They can have fun, dress up in all their formal wear, enjoy a great dinner and dance the night away,” said Sabrina Chavez, Director of Community Services for the City of Perris, who is overseeing the prom. “The Senior Prom has been a night of fun and entertainment in the past, and we are expecting more of the same this year. We encourage our seniors to get their ticket now and be a part of this extraordinary event.”
This Senior Prom is part of the city’s Live Well Perris initiative and has proven to be an essential event within the community. Live Well Perris inspires healthier lifestyles in our community by promoting healthy diet and nutrition, by sponsoring physical fitness programs and activities and through the adoption of City design and planning principles that support healthy neighborhoods into its built environment.
“The Senior Prom has quickly become a favorite community event in our city,” said Perris City Manager, Richard Belmudez. “These types of events are what we love about the Live Well Perris initiative and we are excited to continue this event this year and, in the years ahead.”
