TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR OUTDOOR HAIR SALON AND BARBERSHOPS
PERRIS, Calif. (July 30, 2020) –– The City of Perris has announced the issuance of Temporary Use Permits for outdoor Hair Salons and Barbershops, effective July 20, 2020 after a recent executive order from California Governor Gavin Newsom.
The City of Perris is allowing temporary outdoor hair salon and barbershop services during these times. Hair salon and barbershop can temporarily provide outdoor services, subject to the following requirements:
1. Submittal of a Temporary Use Permit application (no fee required).
2. Site plan approval with the following stipulations:
• Seating must be located at least 15-feet from a street intersection or driveway approach.
• Hair salon and barbershop services must be a) associated with an existing adjacent business; b) conducted under a tent, canopy or other sun shelters with no more than one side closed, allowing sufficient outdoor air movement; c) does not require a customer to have to enter the establishment; and d) provide four (4) feet clearance for ADA access.
3. The duration of outdoor hair salon and barbershop services will be for the period of the executive order.
