As a result of the City’s annual independent audit, the external auditor issues a report on the financial statements indicating whether the statements conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and if the financial statements are presented without material misstatement. This report can be found in each Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and is located in the Introductory Section.

The external auditors also issue a SAS-114 Conclusion Letter each fiscal year. In the letter, the auditor must communicate matters related to the financial statement audit that are significant and relevant to the responsibilities of those charged with governance and outline any significant findings or issues encountered during the audit.
