The Public Works Department is comprised of two divisions, Maintenance Operations, and Special Districts, that direct, administer, prioritize, and plan all activities related to repairs and ongoing maintenance. 

Maintenance Operations are responsible for the city rights of way, including asphalt and sidewalk repairs, streetlights, traffic signals, weed abatement, graffiti abatement, etc. 

Special Districts are responsible for flood control facilities, stormwater compliance, landscape maintenance contracts within the city rights of way, and new development. 

The department also oversees several Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), through Public Works Engineering Administration.
