Project Overview
The Case Road Improvement Project aims to improve traffic flow and safety along Case Road, a vital connector between the 215 Freeway and Downtown Perris. This project includes several important infrastructure upgrades, from road widening to intersection improvements, that will support the region's growth and enhance local access for businesses. The Case Road construction team is working in partnership with the City of Perris to complete the infrastructure upgrades.Project Details
- Road Widening: Expands Case Road to 4 lanes from Mapes Road to Goetz Road, except near the San Jacinto River bridge where it will remain 2 lanes. The bridge will be reconstructed to 4 lanes in 2025.
- Intersection Reconstruction: The intersection at Case Road / Ellis Avenue / Metrolink railroad tracks will be reconstructed, improving access and safety, beginning October 30th through Spring 2025.
- New Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvements: A new traffic signal will be installed, and roadway and business access on Ellis Avenue, from Case Road to Redlands Avenue, will be improved.

Full Road Closure Information
Starting Wednesday, October 30th, 2024:
- A long-term, 24/7, full road closure is planned on Ellis Avenue from Case Road to Redlands Avenue through Spring 2025.
- This closure is necessary to complete safety improvements at the Metrolink railroad crossing, add a traffic signal, install underground detection systems, reconstruct the roadway, upgrade electrical infrastructure, and construct recycled and potable waterlines.
Additional Traffic Impacts
Motorists traveling along Case Road can expect:
- Narrow traffic lanes with K-rail barriers placed on the roadway’s edge during phase one of the project, which will last through Spring 2025.
