The City Manager is the executive head of the City of Perris organization and is responsible for the efficient administration of the City Organization.

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to initiate and implement City Council policy, enforce municipal laws, direct daily operations, make recommendations to the Council, prepare and observe the municipal budget, appoint and supervise all City department heads and employees, and supervise the operation of all City departments.

In addition to overseeing overall operations, City Manager Miramontes directly oversees the Development Services Department. The department includes the divisions of Building, Housing, Neighborhood Preservation, Planning, and Redevelopment. Key projects for the upcoming year will be to establish a Citywide Strategic Plan, implementation of an economic development strategy and the annexation of western sphere of influence.
