The Development Services Department encompasses the following divisions:

• Planning

This division is responsible for current planning and advanced planning within the City of Perris.

• Building 

This division enforces state laws that affect, regulate and control the design, construction and inspection of all new structures.

• Emergency Management

This division focuses on coordinating strategies, resources, and responses to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.

• Office of the Fire Marshal

This office provides fire inspection and emergency services coordination for the City.

• Business Licensing

The business licensing division reviews business applications for compliance with the city’s ordinance.
