The Public Information Office is a division of the City Manager's Office. The primary function is to coordinate all external communication between the city and citizens. The Public Information Officer is responsible for news releases, social media, community outreach, and general information management. The Public Information Officer works closely with the City Council, City departments, news media, the public and other government agencies to assist in building a more open and accessible city government. It is the City's official information outlet to media related inquiries.

Additionally, the Public Information Officer hosts the Weekly Muse, which is an informative news program filmed at the Clarence Muse Center on the City Hall campus and covers various happenings around Perris. You can watch a recent video below.
