The Streets and Field Division is housed at the Public Works Yard. Their function includes various duties required to keep the City's streets, sidewalks, and right-of-way in an exceptional state for the use and enjoyment of all residents and visitors. Street maintenance includes over 226 lane miles of road, 119 traffic signals, and 4,849 streetlights. The team works diligently to keep the right-of-way clean and safe for the community it serves.
The City's Public Works department is located at 1015 South G Street. The Public Works Yard is the hub for city-owned vehicles and equipment. The Fleet Division is currently responsible for the repair and maintenance of over 100 city-owned vehicles and approximately 40 pieces of heavier equipment as well as smaller hand tools used throughout the city.
